The lifting bolt arrangement is comprised of our 21.6mm strand swaged into our extended barrel. The top part of the extended barrel as a screwed adaptor inside to take either a fixed eye bolt (which is designed to rotate 180 degress) to help when lifting an object. The swivel lifting bolt is designed in such a way that the eye bolt can be screwed out to be used again (giving a massive cost saving)
Both types of bolts can lift up to 6 tonnes (pull tested to 30 tonne at a 5:1 ratio)
Each swaged end is stamped with its own serial number and kept on file.
All accessories eg clamps, slings used with the Garford Lifting Bolt should similarly be marked under LOLER.
Rish assessment must be carried out before work commences by an authorised person at the site/mine.
