Self Anchoring Bolts / Soil Nails

Self Drilling Anchor Bolts for complex ground conditions

Applications

The self drilling anchor bolt (SDA bolt) combines drilling, grouting and anchoring together. It ensures the anchoring in complex ground conditions.

Self-drilling anchor bolt systems or soil nails are mainly used for slope stabilization, foundations with micropiles and tunnelling. They are also widely used in the railway system and metro projects etc. They can be installed in sites with weak rocks, loose soil, weathered layer, sand with stone layer and where it is difficult to create a hole in a complex formation. Unconsolidated ground conditions favour the self-drilling anchor bolt technique as a fast and simple method of installation, compared to the traditional method.

Features

  • Self-drilling anchor bolts have two functions, one is drilling the other is grouting. They feature a hollow bore for flushing, or simultaneous drilling and grouting.
  • The self-drilling anchor bolt is reliable, efficient and convenient, which makes high piling output possible.
  • Sinorock Corrosion Protection System
    • Hot-dip galvanizing corrosion protection - we can do it according to EN ISO1461
    • Duplex coat system - duplex coat=hot dip, galvanizing+Epoxy powder coating

We are also partners with Armosan and Moya and supply a range of their products including their Self Drilling Anchor Bolts and Solid Rebar Bolts.

These are easy to install and their design increases adhesion performance. Being able to complete the drilling and injection processes at one go without changing equipment decreases anchoring time for each hole. The bolts can be anchored more deeply and quickly, there is no need for drilling pre-pore holes and they offer stabilisation of holes during drilling.
